LAC SOLIDARITY CONTRIBUTION
According to the Statutes of the Lithuanian American Community, every Lithuanian living in the United States who has reached the age of 18 pays a national solidarity contribution as a sign of civic awareness and unity (Statutes, 103.5). This contribution is one of the primary sources of funding for the activities of the Lithuanian American Community (Statutes, 103.6).
The collected Solidarity Contribution is distributed as follows:
- 50% remains with your local chapter, where you live and participate in community activities;
- 10% is allocated to the district, which coordinates regional activities;
- 40% is transferred to the LAC National Executive Committee to support nationwide projects, education, culture, youth programs, and information activities across the United States;
- Of this 40%, the National Executive Committee allocates 15% to the World Lithuanian Community (WLC), thereby contributing to global Lithuanian community activities and representation.
Your contribution directly strengthens Lithuanian schools, cultural events, youth programs, informational activities, and community connections throughout the United States.
