Religious Affairs Council of the LAC
The Religious Affairs Council of the Lithuanian American Community brings together and supports the spiritual life of our community, uniting Lithuanians of various Christian traditions and maintaining ties with the faithful in Lithuania. Its mission is to ensure that religious life within Lithuanian communities across the United States remains vibrant, visible, and open to all who seek fellowship and spiritual support.
The Council fosters dialogue and mutual understanding among Lithuanians of different religious backgrounds, cares for the needs of Lithuanian religious life, and contributes to initiatives that defend civil and religious rights. It carries out the tasks assigned by the National Executive Committee, implements the decisions of the LAC Religious Affairs Commission, and prepares an annual activity report, which is submitted to the President of the Lithuanian American Community National Executive Committee at least one month before the annual session of the Lithuanian American Community Council.
Taizé Evening Video Recording
We invite you to watch the video recording of the 2024 Taizé Evening organized by the LAC Religious Affairs Council and the Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis Mission.
A Taizé evening is a time of peace, shared prayer, and quiet reflection, bringing together all who wish to pause for a moment, step away from the rush of daily life, and draw from a source of inner light.
