The mission of the Cultural Affairs Council is to nurture this living culture within the Lithuanian American Community by supporting creativity, honoring tradition, and creating meaningful cultural experiences throughout the United States.

We believe culture thrives when it is shared. Through music, dance, visual arts, literature, and commemorative events, we seek to bring people together in ways that inspire pride, reflection, and belonging. The Council supports initiatives that strengthen Lithuanian identity while welcoming new voices and contemporary interpretations that keep our culture relevant and alive. Our work is rooted in collaboration. We partner with local Chapters, artists, cultural leaders, and volunteers to help ideas grow into impactful projects—whether large national programs or intimate local gatherings. Every cultural effort, no matter its scale, contributes to a stronger, more connected community.

The Cultural Affairs Council also aims to expand the reach of Lithuanian culture beyond our immediate circles, inviting broader audiences to engage with our stories, values, and artistic traditions. By supporting innovation alongside preservation, we ensure that culture remains dynamic rather than static.
